  • 1. What is OpenSpace?
     

    OpenSpace is a coworking space passport, available for purchase via a mobile app, both on iOS and Android. OpenSpace offers a range of local and international coworking passports that allow users to book a space or hot desk via a range of coworking spaces across Asia; allowing you to work conveniently while you travel or when you are in need of a change of work environment. Purchase our local and international packages to book your preferred (and commitment-free) coworking spaces through our iOS and Android mobile app now.

  • 2. How does OpenSpace work?
     

    Get the full experience of OpenSpace on our mobile app, available for download on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store! Purchase an international or/and a local passport, browse coworking spaces around Asia, book a coworking space when you travel abroad, conveniently trace your booking status, all on the OpenSpace app!

  • 3. What is included in my OpenSpace pass?
     

    A single OpenSpace pass provides you with a hot desk for one (1) day, inclusive of all benefits offered by our partner coworking spaces to their hot desk members. Hot desk features and benefits (table size, power sockets, opening hours etc.) vary for each coworking space. Details and photos of each coworking space can be found in the allocated coworking page on our mobile app, as well as on the official websites of our coworking space partners.

  • 4. Do I have to pay the Coworking space?
     

    You do not have to pay extra for your entry to the coworking spaces if you have already booked through OpenSpace. However, some coworking spaces might provide additional services or facilities for an additional charge (for example, printing, food and beverage etc.). All such surcharges are paid directly to the coworking space.

  • 5. How do I make payment via the app?
     

    The OpenSpace app currently accepts both credit card and debit card with MasterCard and Visa.

  • 6. Can my friend use my OpenSpace account and share my passes?
     

    All passports are for a single user only. The coworking space has the right to deny access if the user’s identity cannot be verified. If you are a corporation looking for group passports, please contact us here.

  • 1. What is a pass?
     

    A pass is akin to a ‘ticket’ that entitles you to book your coworking space; providing you with a hot desk for one (1) day, inclusive of all benefits offered by our partner coworking spaces to their hot desk members.

  • 2. What is a check-in?
     

    A check-in process is when you arrive at the coworking space to use the space you have successfully booked.

  • 3. How do I make a booking at a coworking space?
     

    An international passport allows you to book any coworking spaces on our list. A local passport allows you to book any coworking spaces in the country of the local passport purchased.

     

    Once you have purchased a passport, simply browse the OpenSpace app to find the most suitable coworking space for yourself. Use the sort function to find coworking spaces at a specific location or one that is nearest to you! To book a space, it is as simple as clicking the ‘Book’ button on the chosen coworking space to select your check-in date. If you have multiple passport, you are able to choose the passport you wish to use for the booking before clicking the ‘Book’ button.

     

    Your booking request will then be sent to the selected coworking space for review. You can find this booking request in the booking list under ‘Bookings’ tab on the OpenSpace app. Your booking is successful when the status of the booking request is updated from ‘Pending confirmation’ to ‘Confirmed’!

  • 4. Will I be guaranteed a space after I’ve sent a request to book?
     

    One hot desk will be reserved for you by the selected coworking space once your booking is confirmed by the coworking space. You can check the status of your booking request on the ‘Bookings’ tab on OpenSpace’s mobile app. If your booking request is declined, it is likely because the coworking space is fully occupied. Try another coworking space nearby!

  • 5. What do I need to do when I arrive at the coworking space?
     

    Before your arrival, please ensure that you are able to produce your booking confirmation on your mobile device when requested by the coworking space. Some coworking space may request that you provide identification documents for identity verification purposes.

  • 6. Can I have somebody visit me or host a meeting at a coworking space booked on OpenSpace?
     

    Most coworking spaces have a lounge, pantry, café, or other common area. You are entitled to use these facilities as long as you abide by the house rules of the coworking space. If you need to use any meeting rooms, we highly recommend you book directly with the coworking space upfront. Please note that the use of meeting rooms may incur an additional charge at most coworking spaces.

  • 7. Can I purchase multiple international and local passports?
     

    Yes, you can. If you have multiple passports that allow you to book the same coworking space, you are also able to choose which passport to use for the booking request.

  • 8. What is the cancellation policy for my bookings?
     

    If your booking request is still pending confirmation, you are able to cancel the booking request and get a refund of a single pass. For any confirmed booking, you will get a refund of a single pass if you cancel your booking at least two (2) business days prior to your visit. Cancellations with less than two working days’ notice will not be eligible for a pass refund. All refunds are in the form of passes only.

    For example, if you have a confirmed booking for the next Monday, the last day you can cancel your booking and still get a refund is by the end of this Wednesday. You are still able to cancel your booking from Thursday to Sunday. However, you will not get refunded on the single pass used on this booking.

  • 4. What do I need to provide to become an OpenSpace Coworking Space Partner?
     

    You are required to provide the following information of your space in your application. Apply here now!

    - Company full name
    - Company registration number

    Co-working space information
    - Opening hours and days
    - List of free amenities provided
    - List of chargeable amenities provided
    - Description of your co-working space
    - Photos of your co-working space

  • 5. When and how do I get paid?
     

    Accounting will be made to you at the end of every calendar month. Reimbursement payment will be made to you before the 15th day of the following month.

  • 6. What shall I do when I receive a booking from an OpenSpace member?
     

    A quick response is highly encourageable! Accept the booking request on the email notification as soon as possible. If your space is unavailable or fully occupied, let the user know immediately by declining the booking.

  • 7. What shall I do when an OpenSpace member comes to my space?
     

    It is an important responsibility of coworking space to ensure OpenSpace users the access of the space upon check-in. Contact us here if you face challenges in providing access to the users. OpenSpace users enjoy personal touch! Give the first-timers a tour at your space and make them feel welcomed.

     

    Each booking has a unique booking number. You can request OpenSpace users to show the booking confirmation on the OpenSpace app for verification purpose at check-in.
